Hey Mate, With the 35s what was the overall lift
I had 2” body lift, 2”-3” suspension lift. And 35’s are 4” bigger that the stock tyres (giving 2” lift) so all up I had 6”-7” of lift
Thank YOU! 🤙🏼
Rattle gun, awesome description, i will use it for everything ;)
Hi mate awesome video. Was just wondering where you got you pillar pod from
It was a generic one from eBay. I modified it slightly to fit my existing A-Pillar trim
Awesome video, thanks for taking the time to share!
what a pajero! love it. did you need to get cable lenghteners for certain engineparts when getting a total 3" lift? i got 33" on my gen 2 paj and want to lift it. thinking of doing a 2" bodylift, but I also want to lift the torsion bars but do not want to have to work on the engine cables
With the suspension lift I had to unbolt the handbrake cables from the trailing arms as they were pulling tight. And with the body lift I had to match up a generic top radiator hose and that’s about it from memory
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 thank you so much! what a great guy you are for still responding to questions years later, amazing at teaching!
@@altuser.no problem mate. Just glad my videos can help people
You have no spacer. No wonder it's smoking so much.
Love your work. Have to do the same to my NK shortly.
Great video. Word to the wise- these steps are likely good for most alternators, but if you are working on an AC Delco AKA Delcotron alternator NEVER use an impact gun to install the main hub nut. Doing so will distort the body and cause rubbing... I had a parts store fellow think he was doing me a favor by installing the nut on my replacement (when I only asked him to remove the old one). He handed me a fresh, but now broken alternator. I was stuck in that town for another 3 days while another unit was sourced. Thanks for sharing. Love those Pajeros- we own two 1990s with 6G72 here in the USA we call them Montero, because Pajero means something bad in Spanish slang. Cheers!
Good info there. Luckily I’ve never worked on that style of alternator. Good to know though.
Looks good sounds good
the price for lift kit 40 mm, Outlander 2008
I can’t remember. The screenshot of the eBay ad is in the video. Just search them guys up on eBay. They’re in Russia
That’s a serious amount of mods.
He’s modified it constantly over the last 10 years
Great tutorial thanks, lots of good tips. Mine came with no instructions just the template so this was most useful
Hello sir may i ask the part number of transmission filter thanks
Hi. I’m not sure. You can buy aftermarket from most parts suppliers. Or you can buy genuine from Mitsubishi or somewhere like Partsouq using vin number for reference
How in the world does an automatic transmission stall
I’m guessing the revs dropped too low for some unknown reason
With a little and I maen a little more speed it would've cleared the obstacle and not roll. It would feel absolutely sketch though.😅
Just send it!!!!!
34s or 35s
315’s I think if you do the maths they’re like a 34.6
what's your complete suspension setup, brands and all ?
I have 2” body lift from Xpajun 2” suspension lift from GU patrol stock rear springs and re-indexed torsion bars. 2” lifted Toughdog rear shocks for 4Runner/Surf (4” longer than Paj) And 2” lifted Commando front shocks. Oh and upper droop stops fully removed
That was close
Gen 2 ❤
How has no one mentioned the fact Ali G is in da house - booyaka booyaka
I wear the yellow raincoat and red Beanie when we are out in the rain. My mate says I look like Ali G, so I popped that in the video for a laugh
Rad Pajero brother! Got a 1999 model 2.8. M58 BMW engine, rebuilt for offroading in collaboration with Artic Trucks and Sqeet Team Offroading. Got some 44" Toyo M/T on that fucker with Trailmaster suspension - The next step is for sure the exhaust, needs to have the muffler removed for sure! Would recommend you chip tune to stage 1. Even if your Paj has driven over 200k km the engine should be capable of handling the tune-up with ease, Japanese engines last forever - Channels and chassis, not as much. 😆
The 4M40 can handle a bit. Just gotta be careful of heat. Them heads don’t like getting hot. The M58 will be nice. I looked at conversions but just don’t have the spare time.
@@PERTHSCOOTER07Yeah it takes a looong time doing such a conversion 😅
Is the exhaust stock or modded?
Modified on the supercharged one.
What is the bull bar on Stuart's Pajero? That look quite slick
It’s actually from a Ford Ranger I think. Stuart works for a body repair shop so is pretty handy at modifying stuff
People that have no better things to do ! says a Pajero IV owner
Wasn’t gunna roll, I have had mine on huge angles. But I do think it is just dumb luck.
What happened?
The car was about to roll, so I backed off the throttle. The next I knew it had stalled but I have no idea why
Montero is gonna suck at flex
Front is poor. Rear is very good.
Hello, could you help me? I cannot remove the conical piece that goes along with the membrane in a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero. It is possible to remove the membrane nut and access the inside of the area to unclog the cone, the plunger, and raise it. up to restore order, the car works perfectly in low and high speeds, perhaps to recover when changing gears and going up, it's a little bit missing but the car works perfectly, it's great. I bought it recently and now I wanted to readjust the diesel injection, I can't, you can help me? Thank you thank you very much.
Have you tried lifting the diaphragm and spraying penetrating oil down into the assembly to try free it up? I’ve never come across this problem before
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 Not yet because I'm waiting to get a membrane to be able to manipulate and spray. I hope this week to be able to open again to gently pull the diaphragm and clean it. The funny thing is that the car works perfectly although the diaphragm plunger does not move.
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 I believe that only the conical plunger is stuck, even though a mechanic has told me that the needle that enters the conical may also be blocked. My intention is to remove the nut that holds the membrane and try to remove the plunger to the sides and towards up to clean everything and replace a diaphragm, a new membrane, thank you for everything, greetings from Spain.
@@rzf8945 hola señor. If you get a spanner on that top nut it might even be enough to twist the compensator in the housing and free it off. If the inside pin is stuck you may end up having to strip the pump down
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 Yes, it is possible, but I am confident that it is only the conical piston. In a few days, I will open the lid again and gently try to free it. What is very strange, I am sorry to repeat myself, is that the car works perfectly, but thank you very much for everything. I will look for you soon to tell you how.
Love the pines
Hi Great video mate, I am having a Boost issue with my Delica and I was wondering if you could know the solution, it seams that my waste-gate valve released all the boost , specially if I put my foot down or I am on a hill I only hear pshhhhhhhh and no power. Can I adjust that or I need a new turbo with a new waste-gate valve? Thanks in advance
It sounds like a boost leak. Most common issue is a split intercooler pipe. If it’s auto (which most are) get someone to put it in drive, left foot hard on the brake and slowing bring the revs up (just watch they don’t run you over) this will load the engine, start making boost and you can look/ listen to where it’s leaking.
thanks man, I will try that, I tried a smoke machine and I did not see any smoke coming out of any pipe , but I will do that and see where that pshhhh is coming from thanks @@PERTHSCOOTER07
Legend!! 🙌💪😎
I don’t know much about jet skis but i feel like it’s not dusty or dirty out on the water so there’s really no reason to replace the air box. Someone correct me if I’m wrong
The air filter is meant to be checked after 50 hours run time
Bring the owner of one along with two Yamaha trickskis I can confidently say you should never have to do that. You press the gas and it goes. These things are basically bullet proof if they are regularly serviced once a year and not abused to shit. The dude at the dealership even said if you have to take it apart it’s time for a new jet ski. Ours is pretty new but so far he’s right. Haven’t even serviced it once. Put gas in it and it goes it’s pretty straight foward.
Thats some intelligent design
First time?
I’ve done heaps of work on the normally aspirated models where the air filter is at the back. But yeah first time on the supercharger model
@@PERTHSCOOTER07 I loath PWC work. Always end up with fiberglass in your arms, cuts all over 😂
Beutiful we love frame on engine mounting
Great video. Nice to see it actually done. Currently looking for a gen 2 at the moment but finding one that's been looked after these days is becoming difficult. What was the feeling like when you took it out for a drive?
Definitely noticed the difference. Car was more stable on the road. It used to wander about a bit. Yes finding a good Gen 2 is hard. Unless you’ve got $10k lol
1:09 what is a "subframe drop" ?
It’s the equivalent of body lift on a monocoque chassis vehicle
How big are the tires on the white Pajero gen4 33” ?
Yes mate. 33’s
What about the hose line from injectors is it air or fuel supply?
The metal lines to the injectors are main fuel supply and the small lines that are all linked are the return line for any unused fuel
So it is a return line from the compensator to the injectors
@@ianjaycobalbiso5069 I’m not sure which bit you mean? The line to the top of the compensator is a vacuum line. But the lines to the injectors are fuel lines
Could you give me some tips? Having some trouble with my sr 😭
What do you need to know?
Is that just a body lift or is there already a suspension lift on this?
I have 2” suspension lift thanks to Patrol Y60 springs and torsion bars re-indexed

If I wasn't strapped for cash at the moment and hence as you mentioned a "tight arse" in necessity, I'd be going to your patreon or whatever. I'll be doing that though one way or another. I've already subscribed but please, whenever you have ANY advice whatsoever, record it and share. When I get past this hump I'll be able to generate surplus like I'm used to and I'll be back for your Patreon. I'm not the only one either.

Bro if stock tune put 3in on, will loss torque at lower rpm?
Yes. Check my other videos. I tweaked boost, fuel and fuel compensator. Car went mint
19:40 It's about this time, when you REPLACE that stuffed rubber boot too. as it's way past it's use-by date, allowing dirt onto the inner pipe sleeve, and for the inner hydraulic oil to leak out onto everything down below, including the disc rotors.. (oops no brakes some day)
9:40 I hate the way BUSH mechanics attempt seriously dangerous manoeuvres - such as this, especially when leaving their FACE, directly inline with the direction that the spring will go UNDER SOME COMPRESSION, as you struggle to refit it to the lower suspension arm, at such an awfully step angle, should it slip out and smack you full in the face as it whizzes past. For goodness sake, do as you SAID you were going to do, and remove the INNER bearing bolt, to allow the arm to drop "correctly" down without angling the bottom of the spring inwards whereby it could easily slip the foot, outwards... Destroying any soft flesh on the way.. If you had released the arm swing bolt, (at the inner end) the entire swing arm could have simply been raised FLAT to refit the spring into position.. HOWEVER you did it all wrong, from the get go. As you never COMPRESSED the spring fully, nor did you fit spring compression clamps either side of the spring, when under compression, as then it would have been an easy drop, without the spring extending as far as it did. For a mechanics workshop, you seemed to have ZERO tools of the correct type, to do that job. The very least tool is a spring compression clamp (or preferably two)
